Michelle Inez Hinojosa is a Latina artist and educator from Texas. Recently her work has been shown at University of North Carolina: Chapel Hill (2026), Michigan State University (2025), Penn State Woskob Gallery (2025), Ann Arbor Public Library (2024), and the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) (2024). She has been an artist in residence at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts and the University of Michigan Arts Initiative. Her practice utilizes acrylic and oil painting, public art projects, quilting, tapestry bead weaving, and animation to share the complex, multigenerational, Latinx experience of migration, which is riddled with grief, delight, and displacement.

She currently lives and works in State College, PA where she teaches painting at The Pennsylvania State University.
